Catamaran Coastal Passage · A Standalone Week

Sail a Lagoon 42 or Bali 4.2.
Leave with three more.

7 Days · Lagoon 42 or Bali 4.2 · ASA 103+104+114

You already have your ASA 101. Now take it to the next level — and do it aboard a Lagoon 42 or Bali 4.2. Seven days, six nights, the Costa Brava or Costa Dorada as your classroom. By Friday you hold ASA 103, 104, and 114 — the multihull endorsement that qualifies you for catamaran charter anywhere on earth. The BVIs. Greece. Croatia. The Seychelles. Most sailors never take a single step on a cat before they charter one. You will have lived aboard one for a week, sailed it in Mediterranean conditions, docked it stern-to, and anchored it in a cove.

Both boats are four private cabins, two heads, a proper galley, and a bridgedeck wide enough that the whole crew can sit together watching the sun go down. The Lagoon 42 is the world’s best-selling cruising catamaran — the one you’ll step onto when you charter in Greece or Croatia, steady and spacious with the classic rig. The Bali 4.2 is the radical alternative: its entire aft bulkhead lifts electrically like a garage door, merging cockpit and saloon into a single open space, with a hard foredeck lounge where the trampoline would be. Either way, it is a fundamentally different experience from a monohull. Once you’ve slept aboard a cat at anchor, you’ll understand why they dominate the charter market.

Cabins & Accommodation

Per Cabin Rate

Solo Occupancy

The boat carries three double-berth student cabins. A typical cabin on a 46-footer has a double or V-berth, a portlight or hatch for ventilation and natural light, hanging storage, and a shelf or two for personal gear — comfortable for two people who are there to sail, not to live. Each cabin is priced per cabin, not per person. Solo travellers get the cabin entirely to themselves. Couples share naturally at no supplement.

Two People Sharing

Couples & Friends

Travelling alone and prefer the cabin to yourself? Two people sharing one cabin pay €4,995. Simply note at booking. Subject to availability — the boat can accommodate up to three private-cabin students depending on the group composition. Reserve early; private cabins are the first to fill.

3 Student Cabins

Each with its own berths, storage, and ventilation. The fourth cabin is reserved for the instructor.

Couples Welcome

Couples share a cabin at the standard per-person rate – no supplement required. Simply note it at booking.
