We built Red Sky Sailing Barcelona around ASA certification — full days, real curriculum, internationally recognized credentials. But not everyone who wants to sail the Mediterranean wants homework with it.
Sailing Vacations are the same week, the same boat, the same captain — with the structure stripped out. No daily skills briefings. No exam pressure on Friday. No evening study. Just sailing, swimming, eating well, and waking up somewhere new.

Common questions.
How is pricing structured?
Custom and private bookings are quoted to the specifics — group size, boat, route, season. Written proposal back within 48 hours. No hidden fees, no per-person surprises.
Can I sail too, even without certification?
Absolutely. Your captain will hand you the helm any time you want it, walk you through tacks, show you how to trim a sail. There’s just no exam at the end. Sail as much or as little as you feel like.
What if half my group wants to learn?
That works too. We can structure the week so that learners get focused instruction in the mornings, and the rest of the day is yours. Talk to us and we’ll build the week to fit.
Are kids welcome?
Yes. Excellent for families — swimming, snorkeling, anchored coves, real adventure. Small kids share cabins comfortably (up to 3 per cabin for young families). Kids under 8 are case-by-case. Talk to us.
What about non-swimmers or first-timers?
Completely welcome. Sailing vacations don’t require swimming or sailing experience — you’re aboard a stable, well-equipped boat with a professional captain. Many of our vacation guests have never been on a sailboat before.
Can we book the entire boat?
Yes — and this is the most common booking. A private week for your family or friend group, no strangers aboard. Book 2–3 cabins together and the boat is yours. Smaller groups can book remaining cabins on scheduled weeks.
How far in advance should I book?
Comfortable lead time is 30 days. For peak season (July–August), 60–90 days is much better. Last-minute requests are sometimes possible — ask.
