Barcelona Nights

The Concept

Sail by day.
Live Barcelona by night.

Every other sailing school puts you aboard a boat and keeps you there. We do it differently. We sail during the day — Mediterranean sun, warm water, consistent sea breeze out of Port Olímpic — and hand you back Barcelona every single evening.

Your hotel — or your cabin aboard — is two minutes from the dock. Sleep aboard the vessel for the full sailing experience, or stay in a Barcelona hotel and walk to the dock each morning. Either option works perfectly and the choice is yours at booking. After sailing you walk to Barceloneta beach. The Gothic Quarter is a taxi ride. La Boqueria, El Born, Sagrada Família, rooftop bars above the old city, tapas until midnight — every night of your week.

Then Wednesday we cast off south. Eighteen nautical miles past the limestone cliffs of the Garraf Natural Park into Aiguadolç Marina, Sitges. This is your ASA 104 passage — real sailing, real navigation. White-washed streets, a Baroque church above the waterfront, dinner at a harbour restaurant. That night you sleep aboard the vessel, or in a hotel in Sitges just steps from the marina — your choice. Thursday morning — coffee in the cockpit with Sitges waking up around you — we sail back to Barcelona.

By Friday you hold three ASA certifications. You’re IPC eligible. You’ve sailed to Sitges and back. And you’ve had a week in one of the world’s greatest cities.

Your Evenings

The greatest city
in the world is yours

Barcelona doesn’t ask you to choose between adventure and comfort. It gives you both. By day you’re on the Mediterranean learning to sail. By evening you’re in one of the most alive cities on earth.

Walk Barceloneta at golden hour. Eat anchovies at a counter in El Born. Drink cava in the Gothic Quarter at a table that’s been there since before your grandfather was born. Watch Gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece turn pink in the late light. Find a rooftop bar above the Eixample and stay until the city tells you to go home — which won’t be soon.

Barcelona is the rare city that rewards you whether you have one hour or one night. World-class museums you could spend a week in. Markets that make you question why you ever shopped anywhere else. A food scene built on obsession — Catalan, Spanish, everything. Nightlife that starts at midnight and takes it from there.

Nobody has ever left Barcelona wishing they’d spent more time somewhere else.

Barceloneta

Walk from the marina. Two kilometres of golden sand. Cold beer. Warm water. The best after-sailing tradition in Europe.

Food & Markets

La Boqueria. El Born tapas. Catalan seafood. Spanish wine at prices that make no sense. Dinner starts when the sun goes down.

Culture

Gaudí. Gothic Quarter. Picasso Museum. MACBA. A city that takes architecture and design more seriously than anywhere else.

The Nights

Barcelona doesn’t start until midnight. Or go to bed early — the sailing will be better for it. Your call, every night.

Overnight passage

One night in Sitges

Wednesday afternoon we cast off south from Port Olímpic. The Garraf limestone cliffs pass to starboard. Eighteen nautical miles — three to four hours of sailing — your ASA 104 coastal passage. We enter Aiguadolç Marina as the light turns gold over Sitges. White-washed streets. A centuries-old Baroque church rising above the waterfront. Excellent restaurants along the marina promenade.

That night you sleep aboard the vessel. Thursday morning — coffee in the cockpit, Sitges harbour quiet around you — we sail back to Barcelona. Two real passages. Certified bareboat skipper.
